Test automation pays off when repetition, traceability, or coverage matters more than manual flexibility.

  • Log raw measurement values, not only pass/fail
  • Store firmware revision, fixture revision, and test recipe version
  • Keep timestamps and environmental context when drift matters
  • Make reruns reproducible from the record

If the test result cannot be interpreted six months later, the logging is too thin.
