A lot of bad debug decisions come from bad measurements, not bad circuits.

  • Use the shortest practical ground connection
  • Know when probe capacitance is changing the signal
  • Do not trust auto scale or auto trigger without thinking
  • Match bandwidth limit and sample depth to the problem
  • Use differential probing when ground reference is unsafe or misleading

If a capture is central to your question, include the scale, bandwidth limit status, probe ratio, trigger condition, and what node you used as reference.
